After visiting Iceland just last year, Project Director Chris Lalich continued his tour of countries beginning with the letter “I” with a trip to Ireland this month.  His week-long stay included stops in the cities of Dublin, Galway, Cork, and even Belfast to learn more about “The Troubles” of Northern Ireland.  Chris also visited natural areas such as the Giant’s Causeway on the northeast coast (pictured), the Cliffs of Moher, and The Burren, one of the largest karst landscapes in Europe.

Amidst the cultural attractions Chris also managed to have some good old-fashioned fun, including making friends in the local pubs and becoming a Certified Crafter of the Perfect Pint of Guinness.  So what’s next on Chris’ travel itinerary?  “Indonesia,” he says.  “If I can see a Komodo Dragon in the wild, I think my life might be complete.”
