Last month, graduating senior Robert Whittemore was honored with the ASLA Merit Award by his alma mater, the University of Arkansas Fay Jones School of Architecture.  Robert accepted the award at the school’s annual awards ceremony on April 19th.

The Merit Award is given by the ASLA Arkansas Chapter to landscape architecture students in their final two years of study.  Recipients must demonstrate high academic performance, design ability, self-motivation, and personal responsibility.  According to Landscape Architecture Department Head Mark Boyer, “nominees must be truly outstanding as measured by our program’s long-term standards of excellence.”

Robert began working for RVi Houston as an intern earlier this year.  Since graduating, Robert has accepted full time employment with RVi’s Houston office as a staff Designer and is currently working on the new northwest section of Cinco Ranch in Katy.
