This past month, RVi Vice President Mark Smith had the opportunity to join Oak Hill Parkway project team members to participate in the 30th Annual Keep Austin Beautiful Clean Sweep. A section of Williamson Creek adjacent to the “Y” in Oak Hill was sponsored by the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority, ATKINS, and Rodriquez Transportation Group. A team of 27 volunteers spent over 54 combined hours cleaning a total of 510 pounds of trash from a half-mile section of the creek. The event originally had to be delayed due to bad weather and was almost cancelled the following weekend with the threat of more bad weather. In spite of the weather, our team’s volunteers took on the challenge of getting through dense poison ivy and muddy, uneven terrain and had a blast cleaning up this beautiful local creek!
