RVi’s Rancho Sienna project team recently got the opportunity to test out our new Lumion software, a 3D visualization program that is allowing us to bring projects to life in new and exciting ways. The team created a fly-through video of the planned dog park at Rancho Sienna, which is being used to generate interest and anticipation among current and future residents of the community. You can watch the video below.
The dog park is the newest component of a large, thoughtfully-designed outdoor experience at Rancho Sienna, which emphasizes a relaxed and nature-focused Hill Country lifestyle. The park features separate areas for small and large breeds, with an entry area for leashing/unleashing, washing, and doggie hydration via special water fountains. Both sides of the park offer open play areas as well as agility activities for the dogs. The design team took cues from commercially available agility structures, but designed and detailed all of the amenities in-house using materials and color palettes unique to Rancho Sienna. The park also includes a terraced sunrise pavilion, pond, and fishing pier that will provide a picturesque gathering spot and natural amenity for the entire community.
In keeping with the community’s focus on sustainability, the plantings for the dog park were selected for their drought tolerant nature, with a strong emphasis on wildflower mixes that do not require irrigation. The design team also worked to reuse materials found on site, such as cedar and stone, and incorporated excess materials from a nearby drainage project to create the dog tunnels on the agility course.
The new dog park is located along the scenic Big View Trail at Rancho Sienna, which connects The Sienna House amenity center and Greenleaf Park. The public is invited to experience this exciting cluster of amenities on Saturday, April 16th, when Newland Communities is hosting its Spring Into Rancho Sienna Weekend and Rancho Rescue Run, an approximately 1.5 mile run/walk benefiting the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter’s Play Yard Fund. You can learn more about this event via the Rancho Sienna website.
