David A. Kenyon

Posted on Aug 24, 2009

On August 2, 2009, RVi landscape architect and project director David A. Kenyon passed away in the loving arms of his family. Born on September 1, 1954, in Casablanca, French Morocco to Charles Scherer and Reine Bernadette Kenyon, David attended Texas A&M University and the University of Illinois, where he earned a degree in landscape architecture. A gifted artist with a creative spirit and charismatic personality, he brought a wealth of value to each project and life that he touched. David’s career path circled the globe; he served as a lead designer for Euro Disney in Paris, France, and worked for 3D International in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In the United States, David spent seven years with Design Workshop in Vail, Colorado, and Tempe, Arizona, and two years with the Hillier Group in New Jersey. His design skills gained his projects multiple awards throughout the years with honors and acknowledgements from the American Society of Landscape Architects, the American Planning Association, and the American Institute of Architects. David's love for landscape and architectural design led him also to educate others, serving as a lecturer for Texas A&M University, the Italart Study Abroad program in Florence, Italy, the University of Colorado at Denver, Arizona State University and the University of Arizona, Tucson. David joined the RVi team in 2004, blessing our office and projects with his charismatic spirit and passion for superior design. His presence at RVi will be greatly missed.
