Central Market Austin

The Central Park redevelopment property has become one of Austin’s most recognized and visited destinations.  Opened in 1993, Central Market and its adjacent Central Park include an upscale neighborhood grocery store and boutique shopping, Austin’s regional Heart Hospital, rental apartments, outdoor cafes, an entertainment plaza and a City park with trails, exercise stations, and picnic areas.

A primary development objective for Central Park was to provide the City of Austin a regional stormwater control system. Developed on a state-owned tract of land, RVi’s site plan and design guidelines satisfied the requirements of the Texas General Land Office, Austin State Hospital, HEB retail, adjacent neighborhood groups,  and the City of Austin.   Today Central Park is truly a walkable neighborhood destination with a vibrant retail center,  residences, and a sustainable wetlands area central to the project.
