Interpretive Graphics Tell a Story
This month Director of Graphic Design, David MacDermott, takes us on a brief tour of the discipline of interpretive signing and the role it can take in the art of placemaking. RVi's Houston Office Makes Connections
RVi's Houston office is safe and sound, and fully online after last month's Hurricane Ike. This month, Project Director Kolby Davidson is leading a team to assist the City of Shenandoah in planning their first two trail segments, which will complete critical connections within the city. The trail segments will provide residents access to the Woodlands trail system and a safe pathway to the new Conroe Independent School District Sports Facility, as well as adjacent shopping.

RVi'ers Out and About
It's been a busy month for RVi'ers - with projects, hurricanes and speaking engagements, here are a few ways our team's been working hard and having fun: President Bob Richardson participated in a Houston ULI Roundtable discussion about the "Trends in Suburban Landscape Architecture," while Vice-President Chris Crawford was named co-chair of the Austin Chapter of ULI. Principal Barbara Austin and Landscape Architect Chris Lalich were on hand at the ASLA conference in Philadelphia to speak at a press conference for the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center; the discussion focused on Mueller's latest greenways and the LBJWC / RVi team. At home in Austin, RVi came out in full force to make PARK(ing) Day a huge success.
