Located midway between Austin and San Antonio in an area poised for substantial growth, plans for the 2,430-acre mixed-use Veramendi community are moving full speed ahead. The community will feature over 5,000 homes on 1.7 miles of Guadalupe River frontage in New Braunfels, with parks, greenbelts, and trails. Developer ASA Properties also plans for 380 acres of non-residential uses, including a recently-announced partnership with Christus Santa Rosa Heath System that will bring a 50-acre medical campus to the development. Earlier this year, Howard Payne University also committed to creating a university extension campus in Veramendi. Other planned uses include a town center, retail, corporate campuses, a hotel, and two elementary schools.
RVi is providing a variety of landscape architectural services for the project, including planning for the extensive parks, trails, and open space system, collaboration on the creative stormwater management system, and assistance with site planning options for Howard Payne University. Stay tuned for more updates as this exciting development progresses!
