Rancho Sienna, Newland Communities’ thriving new master planned community near Georgetown, TX, delivered another unique amenity to residents by opening the gates to Vineyard Park this past month. Offering scenic Hill Country views, the park serves as a friendly community gathering spot and is home to a white grape vineyard, olive grove, and herb garden. Only a month past the Grand Opening and the park is already a celebrated neighborhood asset, with residents posting on social media and meeting at the park in the evenings and on weekends.
In our continuing partnership with Newland Communities and Rancho Sienna’s development, RVi served as landscape architect for the design of Vineyard Park. True to our client-focused approach and dedication to the site, the park’s design is tailored to the lifestyle of residents and the natural attributes of the land. With our initial design staked out on site, RVi studied this layout and worked with dedicated contractors ECOSystems Landscape Services and Fazzone Construction Co., Inc. to field-adjust the design in order to effectively capitalize on the slope, existing trees, and expansive vistas.
The park’s design invites residents and friends to decompress from the hectic pace of everyday life by entering through an inviting trail that features preserved trees and a native landscape. The path leads to a shade pavilion with stunning views of the Texas Hill Country. Nestled amongst nature, this flexible gathering space offers a variety of seating, from shaded picnic tables for larger get-togethers to gliders and rock walls and benches for more casual options.
Steps lead from the shade pavilion down into a picturesque vineyard, which encompasses several rows of white table grapes, olive trees, and herb gardens, from which residents and other visitors are welcome to pick fresh fruit and herbs. The vineyard offers additional open areas to take in and enjoy the surrounding natural beauty. And what’s a park without hideaway spots? This vineyard has a few of those, including a meeting spot tucked away downhill under the shade of a great Live Oak tree.
Functioning as a community pocket park with a variety of available activities and flexible space, Vineyard Park is another great addition to Rancho Sienna’s successful amenity package and underscores Newland Communities’ commitment to “creating vibrant…and naturally-minded communities.” RVi is always proud to be a part of our clients’ success because their success results in end-user enjoyment, which embodies our purpose statement of inspiring people to be outside and engage in the community around them.
