Berry Creek Bridge

A memorable crossing, a good view, a pleasant walk – bridges rarely provide such experiences anymore.  As the roadway infrastructure was being developed for the 5,600-acre Sun City Texas Active Adult Community, client Del Webb recognized that a run-of-the-mill bridge crossing over Berry Creek was not consistent with the overall aesthetic objectives for this community.  RVi was retained develop an upgrade program for the bridge.

Overlooks now provide wonderful vantage points for viewing the creek and wildlife habitat below.  Textured and stained concrete panels, limestone, custom railings, native landscaping, and upgraded lighting fixtures make crossing this bridge a memorable experience for driver and pedestrians alike.  The bridge also doubles as a storm water retention structure.
