Elizabeth Hotel

The Elizabeth Hotel introduces thoughtfully curated lodging and commercial space to Fort Collins, blending interiors and streetscape design to elevate and energize the downtown experience.

GOALS

With the inclusion of commercial spaces, hotel entrance design, alleyway design and activation, and a multi-level parking garage, the project aimed to create a distinct and memorable destination. By thoughtfully integrating patios and decks into the design, the intention was to offer guests an immersive experience with a sense of private comfort and a connection to the bustling Fort Collins public realm during their stay.

OUTCOMES

The RVi team (formerly Russell + Mills Studio) balanced function with aesthetics in a site that seamlessly integrates with Fort Collins’ downtown area. A functional balance between building and site allows for smooth transitions between spaces both within the hotel and its surrounding exterior.

As a hub for lodging, dining, and gathering, the hotel brings new energy and memorable experiences for visitors to the area. The design centers around vibrancy and flexibility, featuring rooftop lounges with views, outdoor terraces, and meeting spaces that adapt to the diverse needs of groups and visitors.

The hotel’s streetscape design also helps define and enhance the authentic character of the surrounding area. Through careful crafting of interstitial spaces that blend indoors with outdoors, the team delivered a place where visitors and locals alike can relax, engage, and enjoy the many offerings of Downtown Fort Collins.
