GOALS
From its earliest vision, Lariat was conceived as a place that encourages enjoyment of the outdoors, community connection, and everyday exploration. RVi and Randolph Texas Development set out to transform former ranchland into a master-planned community highlighting Liberty Hill’s natural terrain and Hill Country character. Key goals included preserving the site’s rolling topography and scenic views, creating an extensive trail network and amenities, and delivering the infrastructure to support long-term growth.
OUTCOMES
On the sloping hills of a former ranch, Lariat offers 706 sweeping acres with 1,650 energy-efficient homes, vast active and passive amenities, and all the infrastructure necessary for a family-centric master-planned community. Lariat creates a place for residents to come, relax, get outdoors, and spend time together.
The neighborhood offers a wide range of active and passive activities from a central amenity center featuring a robust, kid-centric playscape and splash pad, to laid-back reflective areas and a pond expansion featuring fishing docks, to a seven mile trail system that winds through the community, pocket parks, and finally to a greenway that connects residents to all the natural landscape has to offer.
An on-site elementary school provides an easy commute for kids and parents. Three Municipal Utility Districts (MUDs) were created specifically for the project, bringing needed water, sewage, drainage, and other utility-related services to the community.
Developed by Randolph Texas Development (RTX), Lariat is driving economic growth, enhancing local schools, and attracting families to the Liberty Hill area, making it a cornerstone of the region’s future success.
