GOALS

RVi’s planning and design approach aimed to create a multi-generational community centered on health, wellness, and shared experiences. In collaboration with the developer, we sought to enhance the natural landscape to accommodate a diverse mix of housing types and expansive, active amenities, while preserving the legacy live oaks for a distinguished sense of place.

OUTCOMES

Spanning 1,300 acres, Star Farms at Lakewood Ranch is a gated, multi-generational lifestyle community that blends resort-style living with hometown charm. Designed to promote a dynamic, connected community, its 2,800 single-family homes, paired villa retreats, and townhomes provide diverse living options that cater to all stages of life. Every aspect of Star Farms is carefully crafted to foster wellness, social engagement, and outdoor recreation imbued with a distinct identity of place.

RVi’s role in master planning, site design, and landscape architecture ensured continuity with the natural surroundings. A defining feature of the community is its iconic live oaks, which RVi collaborated with civil engineers to preserve as majestic enhancements to the trails and lakefront areas. The community’s four amenity tracts are positioned intuitively for an engaging lifestyle, featuring a clubhouse and fitness center, resort-style pool and spa, flex lawns, playground with a splash pad, and an event center, alongside bocce, pickleball, and tennis courts. Miles of trails, greenways, and a dog park weave through the landscape, while a coffee shop and bar and grill invite respite, relaxation, and a setting to connect.
