Tom Landry Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center

A Natural Environment for Fitness and Rehabilitation

Surrounding the new Tom Landry Sports Medicine facility, this rehabilitation garden includes half and quarter mile jogging and walking trails carefully designed using 18th century garden principles in order to heighten the outdoor fitness experience. The gardens contain a central lagoon with water plants, escarpment, waterfalls and cascading brooks, a dry streambed, a dining arbor, and Victory Hill with a gazebo that offers excellent vistas of the downtown Dallas skyline.

Additionally, the park focuses on two major bronze sculptures, Mountain Comrades by Dan Ostermiller and Puddle Jumbers by Glenna Goodacre. The landscape architect worked closely with both artists to create exciting settings for the art. The development is an excellent example of creating a natural environment for fitness and enjoyment by assessing and capitalizing on existing natural resources and on-/off-site views.
