UNT Master Plan Update

Providing for a Growing Campus

The goal of the University Master Plan was to review the needs of the UNT campus community in order to better serve them through programs and services. The Master Plan serves as a basis for making decisions to improve operational efficiency and identify flexible strategies for accommodating growth.

Our firm worked as a sub-consultant to prime firm Ayers Saint Gross. We were charged with preparing landscape design guidelines including the campus landscape structure, basic principles of planting design, and specific area guidelines. In addition, we assisted ASG and the design team in defining campus edges, open space, trees, pedestrian circulation, and vehicular circulation. Dynamic master plan schematics and conceptual design studies, along with concepts for future needs and alternatives for campus development, were prepared and presented to the University. Detailed narratives were also prepared for the final master plan document.
