In 1982, RVi embarked on a mission to provide planning and landscape architectural services across Texas. Founded by Bob Richardson and Joe Verdoorn as Richardson Verdoorn in Austin, RVi has since grown into a nationally recognized planning, landscape architecture and urban design firm.

Now boasting 10 offices and over 100 employees across the United States, RVi has helped create some truly remarkable spaces from public parks and trails to private land developments and federal agencies. Some of these legacy projects include Mueller, The Dougherty Arts Center and San Gabriel Park in Texas, Harvest Queen Creek, Mystic and the Novus 777 Tower in Arizona, and the 18,000-acre Babcock Ranch, Wendover Housing and Universal Orlando’s mixed-income housing joint venture and more across Florida. We take pride in the collaborative partnerships we’ve cultivated over the last 40 years and embrace every opportunity to advance our mission of inspiring people to be outside and engage in the community around them.

In honor of our 40th anniversary, RVi offices in Austin, Texas; Scottsdale, Arizona; and, Orlando, Florida held recent open houses in celebration of this milestone. Clients, colleagues and friends alike stopped by to celebrate, and we couldn’t have made it happen without the support of our excellent team of designers, planners, landscape architects and administrators!

Cheers to the next 40 years!
